Her mother tongue is Tulu. She is called as sweetie by her family members and her close friends call her Tommulu. She did her schooling and college in Bangalore. She did her Bachelors degree in Computer Applications from Mount Carmel College of Bangalore University. She is also a Yoga Instructor who learnt yoga from Bharat Thakur, the husband of famous actress Bhoomika Chawla.
